Video Form Analysis
Watching videos is an art form, not everyone can do it at a high
level. The importance of this is being able to map a race correctly,
as some horses in their previous run could have gone back from a
wide barrier after jumping well, when in actual fact the race they
contest next start they could jump from an inside barrier and show
more speed to settle closer in the run. This can make or break the
way the speed is in the race and the overall chances of that
particular horse winning.
Mounting Yard Analysis
One of the last pieces of the puzzle when betting is how a horse
parades. Horses are a lot like humans, for example a horse can get
nervous energy before a race just like we do therefore can sweat up
really bad and it’s race can be run before it even begins. Mr Racing
has mounting yard professionals who run a detailed report prior to
the race. Knowledge of how a horse has paraded prior to a winning
or losing performance is crucial when assessing it in the upcoming
race.
Data Driven
The game has evolved and one part of that is using data to create
an opinion on many things within the racing industry. Mr Racing
uses data to mould an opinion on many things and this is just some
of them, a race strength, the level a horse can reach, trainers
ability, jockey’s ability, track bias and speed maps.
Gambling Strategists
Everyone can find a winner but it is those who bet it correctly
constantly are the ones who win long term. Once our syndicate has
put together the form for the meeting it is now time for the gambling
strategists to work out where the mistakes are in the market and
which races are the clear betting opportunities. PATIENCE is key,
not every race we do we find a bet. Remember that.
Breeding & Pedigree Analysis
Main point to remember in relation to breeding and pedigree’s is
their is always exceptions to the rules. An example of is not all wet
track stallions throw horses who handle the wet. It is used as a
guide until proven a horses capabilities on the surface. Mr Racing’s
breeding and pedigree analyst goes to the sales to source
bloodstock options to race but also for horses who we want to
follow come their race career. We have had a lot of success over
the year assessing horses through their sales catalogue and
following through until their debut. Another edge we bring into our
formula.
Meeting Review
Reviewing a meeting is crucial for a number of reasons, here are
just a few: Assessing a horses performance and if they were suited
or not suited by the way the race was run. What was the market
doing with the betting, what was the track bias on the day and
whether or a horse, trainer or jockey rating has increased or
decreased on the performance of the day.
